CNC Carving Operator
Overview
Job Purpose: To operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to carve intricate designs in various materials, producing high-quality finished products that meet customer specifications.
Responsible For
- Prepare and operate CNC machines for carving
- Load materials into the machine and adjust settings as needed
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and computer-aided design (CAD) files
- Ensure that the carved pieces meet customer specifications and tolerances
- Monitor the machine's performance and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate records of production runs and completed jobs
- Clean and maintain the CNC machine and surrounding area
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products
- Follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required
Additional Requirements
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience operating a CNC machine for carving Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD software Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Strong attention to detail and quality control skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Strong verbal and written communication skills
